Tourism offers African countries a tremendous opportunity to boost job creation, diversify their economies and drive sustainable growth. The Cybastion Tourism team presented an action plan to the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure of Côte d'Ivoire to accelerate the development of a national eTourism platform to promote the country's tourism sector, strengthen governance and increase sector revenues.

The action plan was presented in mid-April to H.E. Siandou Fofana, the Ivorian Minister of Tourism and Leisure, as well as senior officials and technical directors of the ministry. Aligned with the national tourism brand “Sublime Côte d’Ivoire”, the eTourism platform aims to position the country as a leading tourist destination and strengthen its global competitiveness.

The eTourism platform will allow users to easily plan, book online and manage their trips to destinations across Ivory Coast, with integrated booking and payment services, as well as tools for visitors to rate and review tourism experiences.

Under the direction of Fatoumata Komah, Cybastion Executive Director of Tourism, the Cybastion team presented the next phase of platform implementation to ministry officials.

The eTourism platform, which is expected to be operational this year, is being deployed as part of the “Digital Solutions” pillar of Cybastion’s Digital Fast Track, an accelerated roadmap towards Africa’s digital sovereignty.
