U.S. tech leader Cybastion and Vertiv, a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that establishes a framework for collaboration within Northwest Africa. The target markets include Morocco, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Chad, and Gabon, where both companies have active engagement and strategic alignment in place.
This collaboration is expected to help Vertiv to engage earlier in large-scale digital infrastructure initiatives, by combining its data center expertise with Cybastion’s existing relationships and experience in government-led digital transformation programs.
"As AI, cloud and sovereign digital infrastructure investments accelerate across Africa, customers are increasingly seeking end-to-end ecosystems rather than standalone technology providers," said Zineb Kamri, regional director for Northwest Africa at Vertiv.
"Through our collaboration with Cybastion, Vertiv can position its power, cooling and critical infrastructure solutions within broader national digitalization programs, creating access to additional prospects," said Kamri.
The two companies aim to create a scalable framework that can be leveraged wherever joint opportunities arise. “Cybastion has already established a strong footprint in West and Central Africa and is actively expanding into North Africa," Kamri added. "This geographic reach complements Vertiv's regional growth strategy. Morocco, in particular, represents a key market, especially given its ambition to become a regional digital hub and attract hyperscale and AI infrastructure investments.”
“As demand for data centers, AI infrastructure and secure digital platforms continues to grow across Africa, our collaboration with Vertiv strengthens our ability to rapidly deploy the critical digital infrastructure needed to help African countries move toward digital sovereignty,” says Dr. Thierry Wandji, CEO of Cybastion.
