A tripartite partnership was signed on December 9th, 2020, in Ouagadougou between the National Information Systems Security Agencies (ANSSIs) of Burkina Faso and Benin in collaboration with the CYBASTION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. This partnership will raise the level of security and help in the fight against cyber criminality in Burkina Faso and Benin. This agreement affirmed the one already signed between all parties on November 11th, 2020, in Benin.
The agreement aims to drastically reduce cybersecurity breaches and to develop an action plan to fight cybercrime in the two countries while increasing the quality of security in both countries. This action plan establishes a five-year program that includes IT training and an IT infrastructure framework which will enable the sharing of data and resources, and the first phase of this plan sets up a technical threat exchange platform.
