The CYBASTION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, in collaboration with the Burkina Faso Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research, have proposed the creation of a Center of Excellence in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. As evidence of U.S. support, Ambassador of the United States of America to Burkina Faso, Mrs. Sandra CLARK, met with Professor Alkassoum MAÏGA (Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research). This project aims to train students in the field of cybersecurity for a year and a half for masters and six months for certification. Diplomas will be accredited by American universities, and the Virtual University of Burkina will host a Center of Excellence which will open with open with an initial enrollment of twenty-five students.
